CFL light bulbs ( Compact Fluorescent Lighting) seams to be a very easy way to save energy. A CFL light bulb uses up to 80% less energy than a standard light bulb and last up to 10'000 hours. CFL light bulb use to have a yellowish spectrum but over the years have become very easy to adjust the eyes to. A very simple way to conserve energy.

I was hesitant at first about using these, mainly because of the mercury they contain and I have little ones in the house. A broken bulb has to be disposed of properly. However I added them in almost all places that are not easily accessible to be broken accidentally.
I noticed a huge drop in my energy bill in the past 2 yrs it was amazing so I think with proper care they are a wonderful thing.
